MRI Results Are Out! We Have Happy Holidays Indeed!

Happy 2014 everyone! This is a very late post, sorry. I am very busy last holidays due to (1) I don’t have any holidays off, and (2) I got a part time online job. Thanks to God, I am now able to use my writing skills. :)

So here’s an update regarding my last post, ‘UPDATE: MRI Finally!‘ If you were able to read it, Carlisle Von Patrick underwent his follow up MRI procedure six months after his brain surgery. This is to check how is 20% tumor going on inside his brain.

So here’s are the images of the most happiest result 2013 had given me.

We were delayed for follow up every month due to financial reasons, other pediatric doctors (especially his Endocrine doctors) would request a lot of laboratory tests because of his endocrine glands (I don’t know if it’s a count or what) that keep on going up and down.

Tadaaah! This would be one of the greatest gifts I have received for 2013. Thankful and teary-eyed I am when my uncle was trying to explain the results to me. I was not able to take it just because my eyes were already drowned, and only one thing is for sure: God saved my son. God saved us. In such big ways, God is giving us what we really need, what I really wanted, what He knows would make me terribly happy.

I just want to thank everyone who helped us along the way. Thanks to all our friends and just concerned people who just find my son cute and adorable, family members (Papa, Mama, Ate Meann and Kuya Edward, Ate Joyce and Kuya Raffy, Jane and Ramil), his surgeons (Drs. Dadufalza, Miguel, Gaw Te, Garcia) who took care of my son throughout the almost 12-hour procedure, his pediatric doctors who made sure he’ll cope up and improve until we were discharged, his PICU doctors and nurses who were very patient with my son when he’s too noisy when hungry, his junior interns who were also very patient when I tried to shrug them to not touch nor bother my son, and to our Almighty God who are with us all throughout everything, not just with the first two years of my motherhood, but ’til my last breath. :’)

The journey never stops here, as he still needs to undergo radiation sessions to get that tumor out of his head. One thing that scares me, though, are the side effects of radiation to my Carlisle Von Patrick. Will keep you posted on my next entry.

As long as I have my baby with me, I can bear anything. Ciao!
